Abstraction

Fisherman's Exchange Rate (NTN) is a comparison of the price index received by fishermen (It) to the price index paid by fishermen (Ib).
NTN is an indicator to see the level of fishermen's ability/purchasing power. NTN also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of captured fishery products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.
East Java Fisherman's Exchange Rate (NTN) in December 2023 fell 0.43 percent from 98.11 in November 2023 to 97.69 in December 2023.
The development of NTN in December 2023 compared to December 2022 (calendar year / year on year) decreased by 4.70 percent.
Of the six provinces on the island of Java in December 2023, four provinces experienced a decrease in NTN, and two provinces experienced an increase in NTN. Yogyakarta Special Region Province was the province that experienced the highest decline in NTN, namely 3.08 percent, followed by West Java Province which fell 2.98 percent, East Java Province which fell 0.43 percent, and Central Java Province which fell 0.15 percent. The province that experienced the highest increase in NTN was DKI Jakarta, which rose by 0.18 percent, followed by Banten, which rose by 0.19 percent.
In December 2023 the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in East Java increased by 0.65 percent and the Production Cost and Additional Capital Goods Index (BPPBM) also increased by 0.01 percent.
