The number of Labor Force in August 2023 decreased by 668 people to 915,507 people compared to August 2022. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) was 71.21 percent, an increase of 1.02 percentage points compared to the TPAK in August 2022.
The working population is 865,336 people or an increase of 3,274 people compared to August 2022. The Agricultural sector experienced the largest increase in the number of workers, namely an increase of 31,384 people, followed by the Manufacturing Industry sector, an increase of 433 people, while the Service Sector decreased by 28,543 people.
A total of 401,021 people (47.04 percent) worked in formal activities, an increase of 12.50 percentage points compared to August 2022.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2022 was 5.48 percent or down 0.43 percentage points compared to August 2022.
Vocational High School (SMK) graduates have the highest TPT in Pasuruan Regency, namely 12.54 percent, followed by Senior High School (SMA) graduates who have a TPT of 8.26 percent.
