Abstraction

The Fishermen's Exchange Rate (NTN) is a comparison of the price index received by fishermen (It) to the price index paid by fishermen (Ib).
NTN is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of fishermen. NTN also shows the terms of trade of capture fisheries products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The East Java Fisherman Exchange Rate (NTN) for July 2023 rose 1.77 percent from 100.10 in June 2023 to 101.88 in July 2023.
The development of NTN in July 2023 against December 2022 (calendar year) fell by 0.61 percent. The development of NTN in July 2023 compared to July 2022 (year on year) fell by 3.07 percent.
Of the six provinces on Java Island that carried out NTN calculations in July 2023, four provinces experienced an increase in NTN, and two provinces experienced a decrease in NTN. East Java Province was the province that experienced the highest increase in NTN, which was 1.77 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta Province, which rose 1.16 percent, DI Yogyakarta Province, which rose 1.12 percent, and Banten Province, which rose 0.18 percent. Those that experienced a decrease in NTN were West Java Province which decreased by 0.04 percent, and Central Java Province which experienced a decrease of 1.10 percent.
In July 2023 the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in East Java increased by 0.04 percent, while the Production Cost Index and Capital Goods Addition (BPPBM) decreased by 0.08 percent.
