Abstraction

Jawa Timur's economy grew in the first quarter of 2023 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reaching IDR 712.63 trillion, while GRDP at constant 2010 prices reached IDR 448.95 trillion.
Jawa Timur's economy in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the fourth quarter of 2022 grew by 1.02 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the highest growth occurred in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Business Fields which grew by 14.29 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Goods and Services Export Component which grew by 3.74 percent.
Jawa Timur's economy in the first quarter of 2023 against the first quarter of 2022 increased by 4.95 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the highest growth occurred in the Electricity and Gas Procurement Business Field which grew by 19.39 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Consumption Expenditure Component of Nonprofit Institutions Serving Households (PK-LNPRT), which grew by 9.47 percent.
Structurally, the Processing Industry business sector dominates the economic structure of Jawa Timur in Quarter I-2023 with a contribution of 31.00 percent, while from the expenditure side it is dominated by the Household Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-RT) with a contribution of 60.62 percent.
