Abstraction

The East Java Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for January 2023 rose 1.22 percent from 105.13 to 106.41. The increase in FTT was due to the price index received by farmers (It) which increased by 1.80 percent, which was higher than the price index paid by farmers (Ib), which only increased by 0.57 percent.
In January 2023, two agricultural sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP and three other sub-sectors experienced a decrease in NTP. The sub-sector that experienced the largest increase in FTT occurred in the Hortculture sub-sector by 4.16 percent from 111.86 to 116.52, followed by the Food Crops sub-sector by 2.38 percent from 105.02 to 107.51. The sub-sector that experienced the largest decrease in FTT occurred in the People's Plantation Plantation sub-sector by 2.64 percent from 104.12 to 101.37, followed by the Fisheries sub-sector by 2.07 percent from 101.96 to 99.85, and the Livestock sub-sector by 1.30 percent from 102.96 to 101.62.
Of the five provinces on Java Island that carried out NTP calculations in January 2023, all of them experienced an increase in NTP. The largest increase in NTP occurred in West Java Province by 1.90 percent, followed by Banten by 1.70 percent, Yogyakarta Special Region by 1.41 percent, Central Java by 1.35 percent and East Java by 1.22 percent.
