Abstraction
  • Social economic recovery amid the COVID-19 Pandemic has had an impact on human development in East Java. This can be seen from the increase in the growth of the Human Development Index (IPM) in 2022 compared to previous years. The East Java HDI in 2022 is 72.75 or grows 0.85 percent (an increase of 0.61 points) compared to the previous year's results.
  • The increase in HDI growth in 2022 is influenced by the increase in all its constituent indicators, both the health index, the education index, and the adjusted annual per capita expenditure index.
  • From a health standpoint, babies born in 2022 have the hope of being able to live to the age of 71.74 years, 0.36 years longer than those born in the previous year.
  • Meanwhile, the education indicator for the 2022 School Page Expectancy (HLS) component was recorded at 13.37 years, 0.01 years higher than the previous 13.36 years, while the other education component, namely the Average Years of Schooling (RLS 25 years+) 2022 will reach 8.03 years, or an increase of 1.90 percent compared to last year.
