Abstraction

Of the eight CPI cities in East Java, all of them experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sumenep Regency at 1.09 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Kediri City at 0.43 percent.
Inflation occurred due to a general increase in prices, as indicated by the increase in most of the indexes of the expenditure group. Of the eleven expenditure groups, ten groups experienced inflation and one group did not change. The expenditure group that experienced the highest inflation was the food, beverage and tobacco group at 1.55 percent, followed by the personal care and other services group at 1.24 percent, the food and beverage/restaurant supply group at 1.23 percent, the equipment, equipment and services group. household routine maintenance and health groups respectively by 0.59 percent, transportation groups by 0.40 percent, recreation, sports and culture groups by 0.34 percent, clothing and footwear groups by 0.25 percent, housing groups , water, electricity, and household fuel by 0.34 percent, and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.08 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that did not change was the education group.
