Abstraction

Of the eight CPI cities in Jawa Timur, seven cities experienced deflation and only one city experienced inflation. The highest deflation occurred in Sumenep Regency at 0.58 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in Kediri City and Jember Regency at 0.10 percent each.
Of the eleven expenditure groups, three groups experienced deflation and the other eight groups experienced inflation. The expenditure group that experienced the highest deflation was the food, beverage and tobacco group at 0.84 percent, followed by the transportation group at 0.47 percent and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.06 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced inflation was the personal care and other services group by 0.52 percent, followed by the food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.34 percent, the health group by 0.29 percent, the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group. by 0.26 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.16 percent, the education group by 0.11 percent, the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.05 percent, and the clothing and footwear group by 0.02 percent.
The inflation rate for the calendar year in June 2021 is 0.89 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2021 against June 2020) is 1.19 percent.
