Abstraction

• East Java Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) in April 2021 decreased by 0.89 percent from 99.19 to 98.31. The decrease in NTP was due to the decrease in the price index received by farmers (It) by 0.79 percent, while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) increased by 0.10 percent.

• In April 2021, two agricultural sub-sectors experienced a decrease in NTP and three sub-sectors experienced an increase. The sub-sector that experienced the largest decline in NTP occurred in the Horticulture sub-sector, namely 4.63 percent from 106.59 to 101.65, followed by the Food Crops sub-sector by 1.26 percent from 98.21 to 96.98. The sub-sectors that experienced an increase in NTP were the Animal Husbandry sub-sector by 1.30 percent from 98.11 to 99.39, followed by the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.61 percent from 99.17 to 99.77 and the People's Plantation sub-sector by 0.19 percent from 99. 01 becomes 99.19.

• Five provinces in Java Island that carried out their NTP calculations in April 2021, all experienced a decrease in their NTPs. The largest decrease in NTP occurred in West Java Province by 1.75 percent followed by Banten at 1.63 percent, East Java by 0.89 percent, Central Java by 0.59 percent and Yogyakarta Special Region at 0.33 percent.
