Abstraction

In November 2019 East Java experienced inflation of 0.23 percent. Of the eight CPI cities in East Java, all experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumenep reached 0.41 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Malang by 0.01 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation and two groups experienced deflation. The group experiencing the highest inflation was the Foodstuffs group by 0.79 percent, while the group that experienced the highest deflation was the Clothing group by 0.26 percent.
The main commodities that contributed the most to inflation in East Java in November 2019 were shallots, broilers, and broiler eggs. While the commodities that contributed the most to deflation were red chili, gold jewelery, and cayenne pepper.
The inflation rate of the East Java calendar year in November 2019 reached 1.59 percent, while the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2019 against November 2018) reached 2.20 percent.
In November 2019 the core group experienced inflation of 0.09 percent, the government-regulated component experienced an inflation of 0.06 percent, and the volatile component experienced inflation of 0.91 percent.
